Fox Hill Vineyard - Our Cabernet Sauvignon
Our carefully cordon-trained,
Cabernet Sauvignon grapes
produce quintissential, Alexander
Valley, Cabernet wines.

You'll experience deep flavors and
textures our premium winegrapes.  
Our wines are commonly described
with hints of blackberry and vanilla.

Over time, we've grown Chenin
Blanc and Zinfandel.  But after
replanting our old vine Zinfandel in
2008, the entire vineyard is now
Cabernet.

    Cabernet Planting Details

  • Cordon trained, vertical trellis.
  • 6.5 acres, 8 years old on SO4 and 5C
    roostock.
  • 15.5 acres, recently replanted using
    1103P rootstock.
  • All are #8 clone.
  • Well drained, hillside, red volcanic soil.
  • We normally pick between Oct. 1st &
    Oct. 15th.
  • Yield about 5 tons per acre.
